The priority is wide involvement rather than great[PARA]success. [EITAL]With a Union card, amenities aren't [ITAL]too expensive [EITAL](60p[PARA]for weights, ú1 for squash).[PARA][PARA][ITAL][HDNG]SPORTS FACILITIES:[EHDNG][EITAL][PARA]Bangor is very compact, nudged from every side by geographical[PARA]limitations, and all the facilities are right on campus and next to [PARA]the residential halls. 56 acres of playing fields (8 soccer, 4 [PARA]hockey and 3 rugby pitches) and a flood-lit all-weather pitch; [PARA]sports hall; athletics field, gymnasium; squash and tennis courts; [PARA]archery range; multigym and, of course, the Menai Straits and [PARA]the mountains. The town has a leisure centre, a swimming pool, [PARA]golf course, bowling green and, about 1/2 an hour from the [PARA]campus, the Outdoor Pursuits Centre.
