  1.                    GraphicsENGINE  Lotus 1-2-3 Display Drivers

  3.  Installation:
  4.   1) Install Lotus onto your hard disk as described in the
  5.      documentation included with Lotus.  When prompted for the
  6.      screen type, use 16 color VGA.
  7.  
  8.   2) Go to the subdirectory where Lotus is installed.
  9.         Example:
  10.                 C:\>cd \123
  11.  
  12.   3) Insert the GraphicsENGINE  Driver diskette into drive A 
  13.      and close the door.
  14.  
  15.   4) Run the installation file INSTALL.EXE on drive A.
  16.         Example:
  17.                 C:\123> a:\install
  18.  
  19.      Then select INSTALL's  Lotus 123 Display Driver  menu,
  20.      press ENTER key and complete the installation.
  21.      INSTALL will copy the appropriate files to your default
  22.      directory.

  24.   5) Run the Lotus 1-2-3 install program.
  25.         Example:
  26.                 C:\123> install

  28.   5a) You will be presented with several menu choices.  Just follow
  29.       the directions on the screen and do the following in this order:
  30.        - Press <ENTER> to begin.
  31.        - Choose the  Advanced Options  item.
  32.        - Choose the  Add New Drivers to the Library  item.
  33.        - Press <ENTER> to proceed.
  34.        - Press <ENTER> again to return to the menu.
  35.        - Choose the  Modify Current Driver Set  item.

  37.   5b) You will now be presented with a list of settings.  To change an
  38.       item, highlight it and you will be given a list of choices for
  39.       that entry.  Eight new drivers have been added to support the
  40.       GraphicsENGINE  Board, six graphics drivers and two text 
  41.       drivers.  There are two graphics drivers (dual and single screen) for
  42.       each resolution supported by GraphicsENGINE board (1024x768, 
  43.       800x600, and 640x480). Select  Graphics Driver  and choose either 
  44.       dual or single screen GraphicsENGINE  board for the highest 
  45.       resolution your display will support. Now select  Text Driver  and 
  46.       choose from the GraphicsENGINE board  text drivers. When your 
  47.       configuration is correct, press <Esc> to return to the menu.

  49.   5c) Now, exit the installation program by doing the following:
  50.  
  51.        - Choose the  Save Changes  item.
  52.        - Press <ENTER> to accept the current set name.
  53.        - Press <ENTER> again to return to the menu.
  54.        - Choose the  Yes  item to leave the install program.
  55.  
  56.   6)  Run Lotus 1-2-3 as before.
