  8. Notes on the 3Com Etherlink (3C501)
  9. -----------------------------------
  10. The 3C501 card is not recommended for use in a
  11. machine that is running as a Server.
  12. If using the 3C501 network card with Windows
  13. for Workgroups (WFW), it is recommended that one 
  14. of the following steps is taken:
  15.  
  16. 1. Start WFW in Standard Mode. To start WFW in 
  17. Standard mode, type 'Win /S' from the MS-DOS prompt.
  18.  
  19. 2. Start WFW in 386 Enhanced mode with sharing 
  20. disabled. To do this, start Control Panel and 
  21. select Network. Remove the 'x' from the Enable 
  22. Sharing check box and choose OK.
