  41. The Graphics device drivers supplied here are for the Microsoft Retail
  42. Release of the Windows 3.1 and Windows for Work Groups 3.11.

  46. 2.0    Installation Notes

  48. IF YOU HAVE NOT INSTALLED A MACH32 WINDOWS DRIVER PREVIOUSLY, YOU MAY
  49. REQUIRE YOUR MICROSOFT WINDOWS DISKETTES TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION OF
  50. THIS DRIVER.
  51.  
  52. 1. Ensure that you have a copy of LOADER.ZIP.  It is available on the ATI
  53. BBS, ftp site (ftp.atitech.ca), and on our CompuServe forum (GO ATITECH).
  54.  
  55. 2. Ensure that you have a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE, v1.10 or later.  PKUNZIP
  56. is available on most BBS and information services, including the ATI
  57. BBS and CompuServe.
  58.  
  59. 3. Do NOT attempt to perform the driver installation from within Windows.
  60. Exit Windows completely, and perform the following operations in DOS.
  61.  
  62. 4. Unzip LOADER.ZIP and 32WIN260.ZIP into the same temporary directory on
  63. your hard disk, then run the LOADER utility.  For example:
  64.  
  65. MD \ATITEMP
  66. PKUNZIP LOADER.ZIP \ATITEMP
  67. PKUNZIP 32WIN260.ZIP \ATITEMP
  68. CD \ATITEMP
  69. LOADER
  70.  
  71. 5. Follow the screen prompts for installing the Windows driver.
  72.  
  73. IF YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE, INDICATING THAT A CERTAIN FONT (.fon)
  74. FILE IS NOT PRESENT, YOU WILL NEED TO RUN WINDOWS SETUP FROM DOS TO
  75. COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION.  WINDOWS SETUP WILL PROMPT YOU FOR THE
  76. DISKS ON WHICH THESE FONT FILES ARE FOUND.
  77.  
  78. 6. Once the driver has been installed, you can delete the contents of the
  79. temporary directory (DEL \ATITEMP\*.*) and delete the directory itself
  80. (RD \ATITEMP).
  81.  
  82. 7. We recommend that you keep a copy of the ZIP files (32WIN260.ZIP and
  83. LOADER.ZIP), in case you need to install the driver again.
