  6.  The GexCthulian AUTHORITATIVE Guide to All Major Quake Cheats!

  9.  Here are the major Cheats, including some of the lesser known:
  10.  
  11.  GOD  -   A bit obvious. Invulnerability. This is pure cheating.
  12.  IMPULSE 9  -  Gives ALL the weapons, ammo, and keys.
  13.  IMPULSE 255  -  QUAD DAMAGE! 4 x the pain!
  14.  Give X  -  Gives weapon # X
  15.  FLY  -  Guess! Use D and C keys to go up and down.
  16.  NOCLIP  -  Walk through walls! (best to have GOD mode on too)
  17.  KILL  -  Well, more fun than blowing off your own head, I guess.

  19.  Plus, tips for killing some of the more major beasties:
  20.  
  21.  Spawn - A rocket and quick, otherwise a perferator.
  22.  Fiend - Pump nails into him while he jumps, and try not to let 
  23.          him near you.
  24.  Hell Knight - Rockets, if possible. Nails work, but careful of 
  25.          his fire-balls.
  26.  Shambler - Not actually as nasty as you might think. Learn to
  27.          use the keys well, and you can sidestep his lightning.
  28.          Use nails, or even the shotgun (It will take a loooong
  29.          time, though), as explosives only do half damage. One
  30.          particularly nasty technique, if you can manage it, is
  31.          to stay far enough away that he raises his arms to
  32.          throw electricity, then run up close, pumping away all
  33.          the time (lightning works well too, but make sure not 
  34.          to shoot between his legs). He will drop his arms to 
  35.          claw you, and you can back off again. Repeat until dead.
  36. Vore  -  For my money, the nastiest of the normal beasties. You
  37.          will never be forced to fight one without some kind of
  38.          power-up, like a pentagram of protection or quad damage.
  39.          If you get a Ring of Shadows, and can avoid a confrontation,
  40.          DO. His firepods hurt and don't miss.
  41. Cthon -  There are three switches. Step on the two opposite each-
  42.          other to lower the electrodes, then stand on the middle
  43.          one to start the lightnng. Hurry, as the electrodes retract
  44.          after a while. Repeat until dead.
  45. Shub  -  The Hellmother. Ironically, the easiest to kill. Kill all
  46.          of the shamblers and vores (or, better yet, avoid them-
  47.          look for a secret ledge), then watch the spiked ball.
  48.          When it passes into the Evil One, pass through the teleporter,
  49.          telefragging her.
