This DOS tip may save you time when copying, renaming, or
deleting files. When you want to DEL, ERASE, or COPY all the
files in a directory, the name of the directory will
suffice; you don't need to type `*.*'. The command `copy a:\
c:\wp' is equivalent to `copy a:\*.* c:\wp', while `del
a:\temp' is equivalent to `del a:\temp\*.*'.

Editor's note: These commands are equivalent as long as
there's a directory by the specified name. But be careful:
If you have files in subdirectories with similar names, a
typo in this command can erase those files.
