Usage: ls
[-abdgiklnpqrstxABCFNQRSUX1] [path...]
Switch-------------------Meaning
a, +all List all files.
b, +escape Quote nongraphic characters.
d, +directory List directory name, not contents.
g, Ignored for Unix compatibility.
i, +inode Print index number of each file.
k, +kilobytes Print file sizes in kilobyte blocks.
l, +format=long Print in long format.
m, +format=commas List files horizontally, separated by commas.
p Put '/' after each directory, if not multi-col.
r, +reverse Sort in reverse order.
s, +size Print the size of each file in blocks allocated.
t, +sort=time Sort directory contents by timestamp.
x, +format=across Multi-column, sorted horizontally.
A, +almost-all List all files except for '.' and '..'.
B, +ignore-backups Do not list files that end with '~'.
C, +format=vertical Multi-column, sorted vertically.
F, +classify Tag the file type of each file.
N, +literal Do not quote file names.
Q, +quote-name Enclose file names in double quotes.
R, +recursive List the contents of directories recursively.
S, +sort=size Sort directory contents by file size.
U, +sort=none Do not sort directory contents.
X, +sort=extension Sort directory contents by file extension.
1, +format=single-column List one file per line.
w, +width cols Assume screen width to be 'cols' wide.
T. +tabsize cols Assume that each tabstop is 'cols' wide.
I, +ignore pattern Do not list files that match 'pattern'.
ls does not use the '/**/*' feature in fn32argv. It does its own
recursion.
