DOWNLOADING MAIL FROM SILVER XPRESS TO YOUR PC
Downloading means SCAN for new mail, pack it up, and send it to your
PC. When you select this option, Silver Xpress will begin to scan
your selected mail conferences for new mail. This is called the
scanning process. When it is done, it will present you with the Flex
Select option. With Flex Select, you can tell Silver Xpress "How much
mail from the scan do you really want to receive". It's quite
Flexible! After you tell Silver Xpress how much mail you want (or
you can simply tell it ALL or GO to get everything), Silver Xpress
will begin to "bundle" the mail into a file with the extension OPX,
for example, PITTX.OPX. This file is called the XPRESS MAIL PACKET.
When it has completed bundling the mail, it will begin to send the
OPX file to you using the file transfer method you selected.

DOWNLOADING THE SILVER XPRESS MAIL PACKET (OPX) FILE
Right before Silver Xpress is to begin sending the OPX file to you, it
will display something like this:
FILE: PITTX.OPX 22341 (3:34)
Press [ENTER] download now, [G] Download/Goodbye [ESC] Abort
The number in the parathesis is the time it will approximately take to
transfer the file. The 22341 is the size of the file. At this point,
you can hit the ENTER key to begin the transfer. When the transfer is
done, the Silver Xpress main menu will be displayed again. If you simply
want to download the file and hangup, you can hit the G key. Please note
the GOODBYE option is optional by the sysop, he may not choice to allow
people to leave his BBS via Silver Xpress. If that is the case, you will
not see this option. If you want to abort the transfer you can simple
hit ESC.
