  1. Since the release of version 1.10, Mom and its associated setup program
  2. (MomSetup.Exe) have been TOTALLY rewritten. This was necessary because
  3. of the MAJOR changes made to support other BBS programs and front-end
  4. mailers, as well as to optimise the code so that Mom will run as quickly
  5. as possible between calls and in its midnight event.

  7. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU CAREFULLY READ THE DOCUMENTS IF YOU HAVE BEEN
  8. USING AN EARLIER VERSION OF MOM. LOTS OF THINGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED, ADDED
  9. AND DELETED FROM PREVIOUS RELEASES!!

  11. The following is a list of new features added to Mom in version 2.0. 
  12. Further details can be obtained by reading the relevant section of the
  13. document file or by pressing F1 in the setup program.

  17. + Added support for RemoteAccess 2.0g1 (hudson message base ONLY!)
  18.   Mom still FULLY supports versions 1.0x and 1.1x of RA 
  19.  
  20. + Added support for SuperBBS versions 1.15, 1.16 and 1.17
  21.  
  22. + Added support for ProBoard v1.30
  23.  
  24. + Date format is now fully configurable by the sysop
  25.  
  26. + Time format is now fully configurable by the sysop
  27.  
  28. + Messages attributes have been greatly expanded to support D'Bridge, Front
  29.   Door and some FAX attributes
  30.  
  31. + Sysop away messages have been enhanced so that Mom can now scan up to 10
  32.   different message areas (Local, echo or netmail) and send a reply if the
  33.   sysop is away
  34.  
  35. + Added 'Condition' field for messages in MomSetup (See docs for info)
  36.   So that Mom will ONLY post a message if the user meets the conditions you
  37.   specify

  39. + Added 'Action' field for messages in MomSetup (see docs for info)
  40.   Mom can alter user records when sending a message... change flags, alter
  41.   security etc etc

  43. + Greatly increased the number of metastrings available for use in messages
  44.   A new set of message text files are included in the archive which you may
  45.   alter to suit your system

  47. + Mom can now post a message 'From' whatever name you define, NOT just the
  48.   sysops name

  50. + Statistics screens are now almost fully sysop configurable for layout, 
  51.   colors and conditions which must be met by a user BEFORE they are included
  52.   in a report

  54. + Stats screens also have a 'Condition' field similar to that used in the
  55.   messages (See docs for more info)

  57. + Added 'Convert' option to MomSetup to upgrade from v1.10

  59. + Added 'Export' function in MomSetup to export Mom's configuration to an
  60.   Ascii text file

  62. + Added 'Pallete' option in MomSetup to change colors/ video setup etc

  64. + Added C command line switch so that Mom can use more than one configuration
