  2.     I hope you'll enjoy this issue of The Maine PC. I'd be happy to hear any
  3.     comments or suggestions that you might have. Just leave a message to
  4.     me on the MCCS BBS or The Maine StateNET.

  6.     I hope that The MAINE PC Magazine will make it around the state on
  7.     the 40-50 Bulletin Boards we have in Maine. There are many articles that
  8.     any PC user would be interested in. Be sure to upload it to your favorite
  9.     BBS for others to enjoy.
  10.  
  11.     I expect to have this magazine online on the MCCS BBS (Mid-Coast Computer 
  12.     Society) around the 20th of each month. However it will always be online 
  13.     prior to the first of
  14.     the month.
  15.  
  16.     I am very interested in including articles reviews and columns that
  17.     are written by Maine PC users. If you would like to write a single
  18.     article or an ongoing monthly column please send me a sample article 
  19.     and tell me what you would like to do. articles could be computer 
  20.     related news, reviews, humor, poems or opinions, etc.
  21.  
  22.     Some thought has been given to creating an ansi art section. If we
  23.     receive enough art submissions we'll create a special section just for 
  24.     that. I'd also like to see a computer related crossword every month if
  25.     someone would like to do one.
  26.  
  27.     The Editor reserves the right to refuse any articles that are submitted.
  28.     All articles submitted should in ASCII text and uploaded to the
  29.     MCCS BBS at (207) 236-8537, or mail them on disk to;

  50.     This publication does not accept any paid advertising nor does it receive 
  51.     any fees or commissions. It is provided free of charge as a public 
  52.     service. All BBS ads are also placed for free, However we only have room 
  53.     for 10 or 11 ads per issue. The Editor will attempt to give all submitted 
  54.     BBS ads exposure as time and space allow.

  58.     If you do not have a modem, or you would like to receive The Maine PC
  59.     Online Magazine in a timely mannner via the U.S. Mail, please send $3.00
  60.     per issue or $36.00 per year to the above address. to cover the disk,
  61.     disk mailer and postage. Please make all checks payable to Stan Hallett 
  62.     and specify 3.5" or 5.25" disks.

  64.                              PRINTING TEXT FILES
  65.  
  66.     The MAINE PC uses Vernon Buerg's LIST.COM to read text
  67.     files. You can print any articles as you are reading them by simply
  68.     entering <Ctrl-P>.
  69.  
  70.                               TEXT FILE COLORS
  71.  
  72.     You can change the screen colors if you don't like my yellow on blue.
  73.     While reading a text file hit the <F5> to scroll through background colors.
  74.     Then hit <F6> to scroll through text colors. The <F7> and <F8> keys change
  75.     the menu bar colors. When you have hit upon a combination you like, just]
  76.     hit <Alt-C> to make them the new default colors.
