  7.      Put on your thinking caps and gamer's dexterity!  This one will tax
  8.      your brain, stretch your imagination and give you hours of fun.  You
  9.      may think it's easy, and several screens are.  It's the ones that
  10.      seem absolutely impossible, with no solution in sight, that will expand
  11.      your horizons.

  13.      Brix is an arcade and puzzle experience!  Don't let the ultra smooth
  14.      256-color VGA graphics and animation fool you into thinking Brix is
  15.      just an arcade game, because your brain will be taunted, teased, and
  16.      twisted as much as your reflexes.

  18.      Your task in Brix seems simple: Eliminate all of the colored bricks
  19.      by uniting them.  But the 112 levels in Brix 1 are also habitated
  20.      by lasers, elevators, boiling acid, anti-gravity, teleporters, and
  21.      more!  There are enough hand-crafted puzzles in this Epic
  22.      action-puzzler duo to keep you busy for eons.

  26.      Registration is $30 + $4 p&h, and earns you Brix I and Brix II Deluxe
  27.      (with 112 awesome new levels, level editor, and a level solver) and
  28.      a disk of Epic's latest bonus games.

  30.      Playing Brix
  31.  
  32.      Your main goal is to remove all of the objects (brix) from the screen.
  33.      To remove them, you need to put them together -- which causes them
  34.      to explode.  This is easy enough with two objects, but can be very
  35.      tricky with three or more.  (Try to figure it out!).  To pick up an
  36.      object, move the red cursor above it and press [space].  The cursor
  37.      turns white while you are carrying an object.

  39.      Secret Codes
  40.  
  41.      When you leave the game (because you missed or finished a level),
  42.      you will be told a secret code.  Remeber this!  You can use it later
  43.      to start back at the level without going through all of the previous
  44.      levels.  Use the Secret Code option in the main menu.

  46.      Difficulty levels
  47.  
  48.      Brix has four difficulty levels ranging from easy to hard.  While
  49.      you are first learning to play, we recommend the easy level.  It gives
  50.      you more time to complete each puzzle.

  52.      While playing!

  54.      Press [Escape] to bring up a menu of options:

  56.      Abort game: Lets you leave the actual game.  Use this option once
  57.      you've thoroughly given up and need to take a break!
  58.  
  59.      Continue game: Keep on playing!
  60.  
  61.      Retry level: Lets you start over from scratch on the current level,
  62.      in case you've gotten into an unsolvable mess.  Beware, the time is
  63.      not set back!

  65.      Solve: Brix will solve the level for you.  (Brix 2 Deluxe only!) This
  66.      will cost you 20000 points in the second level, 40000 points in the
  67.      third level, and so on.
