  1. When LEANER fires up it looks for the file LEANER.SYS.  If it is not found in
  2. the current directory it will be created.  A subdirectory named CHARTS is also
  3. created and filled with files LEANER.DIR and LEANER.000, so that the very first
  4. time the Personal Charts option is selected from the main menu the sample
  5. personal chart copied from SAMPLE.CHT can be viewed.

  7. Well, that's how it is in a land without rain.  If the install fails, be sure
  8. you have all the files, and only those files, mentioned in the PACKING.LST
  9. file.  If your copy of LEANER: the Lean Body Mass Program was copied from an
  10. *installed copy* rather than a *distribution disk*, you will have a LEANER.SYS
  11. file and perhaps a CHARTS subdirectory already made.  Delete these items and
  12. start the program again.  That should take care of the rain.

  17.                              INSTALLING   LEANER

  20. The following DOS command line sequence will create a new subdirectory,
  21. install LEANER on drive C: from distribution disk placed in drive A:
  22. and then start the program.

  26.           c:\> CD \LEAN                  c:\> CD \LEAN
  27.       c:\lean> A:\LEAN200            c:\lean> PKUNZIP A:\LEAN200.ZIP

  33. LEANER will run on a two floppy system, but the program must be divided.
  34. Extract each file seperately placing them on disks as indicated below
  35. using PKUNZIP or from self-extracting file using this syntax:

  39.         To copy from drv A to drv B =>  B:\> A:LEAN200 LEANER.EXE
  40.  
  41.         Disk 1: LEANER.EXE   SAMPLE.CHT   
  42.         Disk 2: ASSESS.EXE   STYLE.EXE    
  43.         Disk 3: GUIDE.EXE    LEANER.WAY   REGISTER.EXE

  45. Install on three disks.  Place distribution disk in drive A and
  46. formatted blank disk in drive B and then type:

  52. Replace the disk in drive B with another formatted blank disk and

  66. LEANER can not launch the sub-modules placed on the second disk.
