There are a number of good jelly and jam recipes inside each box of
pectin, which you can buy at your local grocer. However; Grandma
had some recipes which were all her own!

ROSE HIP JAM
To make Rose Hip puree use the following method: Select the best
Rose Hips (either red or orange) and wash in clean water. Remove the
withered flower ends, and place in a saucepan with the water. Boil
till tender (about 20 minutes) and rub through a sieve.
1 box powdered Pectin 3 1\2 Rose Hip Puree
4 1\2 C. Sugar 1\4 t. Margarine
Put rose hip puree and pectin in an 8 quart saucepan. Mix well.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add sugar and margarine, all
at one time, to boiling mixture. Return to boil and let boil for 4
more minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, skim foam.
Fill sterilized jars,seal and turn upside down for 5 minutes to seal.

CRANBERRY CONSERVE
12 oz. fresh Cranberries (3 C.) 2\3 C. boiling Water
1 C. Raisins 1 large unpeeled Orange,-------
2 1\2 C. Sugar ---sliced and finely diced
2 1\2 C. Sugar
Wash berries; remove any stems; drain. In medium saucepan, combine
berries with 2\3 cup cold water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and
cook just until skins bread--5 minutes. In 6-quart non-aluminum
kettle, combine berries, 2\3 cup boiling water, raisins, orange and
sugar. Bring to boiling point, stirring constantly; reduce heat and
gently simmer, uncovered and stirring occasionally, 15 minutes.
Mixture will be thick. Pour into sterilized jars and seal by turning
upside down for 5 minutes, then turn slowly back upright.
