  1.                          BELGIAN WAFFLES

  4. 1-3/4 c. flour
  5. 1 T. baking powder
  6. 2 T. malted milk powder
  7. 2 egg yolks
  8. 1-3/4 c. milk
  9. 1/2 c. oil or melted shortening
  10. 2 egg whites
  11.  
  12.           Mix dry ingredients together.  Beat egg yolks.  Beat in
  13. milk and oil.  Add all at once to flour and stir until blended
  14. but lumpy.  Beat egg whites till stiff.  Fold into flour mixture,
  15. leaving a few fluffs of egg white.  Bake in waffle maker
  16. according to directions.  Makes 4 8-inch waffles.
