  7. EZ EPSON (EZ) is a printer utility that works with many Epson and compatible
  8. printers.  It was tested on a Raven PR-9101 in standard mode which emulates
  9. Epson models FX-86e/FX-800, and a Star NX-1000 in Epson LX-800 mode.

  11. EZ allows access to some of your printer's capabilities that are not available
  12. through use of the front panel switches.  Some EZ options duplicate those
  13. available on the panel, however, using EZ means less wear on the switches.
  14.  
  15. One useful option that might be overlooked is "Feed Paper" (/F) which allows use
  16. of the Epson reverse line feed capability.  When you wish to remove a finished
  17. document from your printer, use the option to feed the paper ahead just enough
  18. to remove the document, and then reverse the paper so printing can resume on the
  19. page following your document -- saves a lot of paper.  Printing at 8 lines per
  20. inch (/8) will also save paper.

  46. External controls (front panel switches) take precedence over EZ options.  Set
  47. switches to power-up settings.  Other software may affect some or all options.
  48. Some Epson settings take precedence over others.  Example: /DH cancels /15
  49. Use /R to avoid unpredictable results (/R has no effect with /H or /F).
  50. /DA disables before /F execution; /EA enables after /F execution.

  55. freely distributed to others for evaluation purposes only.  If you find EZ
  56. EPSON useful and wish to continue using it beyond a 30-day evaluation period,
