The SPELLBOUND! Word Search Creator Version 1.10 is a
wonderfully simple to use, yet very professional word search
puzzle creation system. It is not disabled or crippled in any
way. It is suitable for use by the smallest children, and yet is
the program of choice for the most professional of uses. It
allows complete control over every aspect of word search puzzle
creation including size, difficulty, and direction of insertion.
The interface is extremely simple, you can specify your favorite
colors and choose your own character to display the grid. You can
optionally process the contents of a list of words, or enter words
manually, watching as they are inserted into the grid onscreen,
and then save them to a list file!
SOLUTION PRINT, PUZZLE STATISTICS, LETTER SHARING, FILL COMPLEXITY
You can have a solution printed out along with statistics on
the directions and difficulty of the insertions. You can force
the sharing of letters, control puzzle fill complexity, create
number search and alphanumeric search puzzles.

A File Manager is provided within the program to allow you to
very quickly view, rename, delete, and select files for use in the
program. It also allows you to edit your lists or puzzles from

The documentation can be read from anywhere within the
program, (a bookmark holds your place) and a pop-up help screen is

This is a comprehensive spelling tutor for use in the
classroom or in the home. It has a complete battery of teacher
tools, keeps grades, prints reports, creates personalized
difficult word lists, uses unique animation, comes with several
word lists and allows you to create your own or use any text file
containing words. After tutoring or testing, you can create word
search puzzles and print them out for reinforcement!

This is a great drawing program originally designed for use
by small children beginning at about 2 years of age, it is a
program which will bring hours of fun to any child 2 to 102. It
works with any CGA adapter or better and uses the number pad keys
to draw up, down, and diagonally. It makes drawing easy! When a
small child presses any non-drawing key, the program generates
random drawing. The child is greatly excited by his "creation".
The program can also record and play back drawings just as they
were originall drawn with complete control over speed etc. It
comes with a program which can play back a whole script of
playback drawings so that you can make "slideshow" type
presentations. You may freely distribute the special playback
program to friends so that you can create video greeting cards
which draw themselves!
The program is customized with the child's name throughout,
and displays a 49 character message from the giver to the child
every time the program starts. If the child's name were "Susan",
the program would be called "Susan's Drawing Game", the program
file would be called SUSAN.EXE and would be started by typing
"SUSAN". It would then display a 49 character message your
specify in its own box on the opening screen, such as "Susie is
the Apple of Mommy and Daddy's Eye". When the program terminates,
it restores the DOS screen and poses the question, "Have you
hugged Susan today?"
The Public Software Library gave it 4 stars (out of 4) and
called it "Literally hours of fun!"
