PC Board Conference Number Enter the number of the PC board conference for messages from this newsgroup. This field can be automatically updated by a flat file import of a UNIX active file or from an GROUPS.DAT file. Usenet Newsgroup name These are the actual names of the newsgroup as defined on the network. For example: comp.mail.uucp Moderated Newsgroup Y/N? A moderated newsgroup is one in which all messages are reviewed and approved by the conference moderator. If this newsgroup is moderated, you should check Y here *AND* have "All Messages Private" set in PCBSetup. Moderators Email Address This is where uuPCB will email anything entered in this conference (if moderated). If you do not know the email address of the moderator, you can use uunet's alias service. Substitute a dash for the periods in the newsgroup name and then use that for the user id at uunet.uu.net For example, comp.dcom.telecom becomes: comp-dcom-telecom@uunet.uu.net Host for Articles Occasionally, it is necessary to route certain newsgroups to sites other than your default outbound news host. If that's the case here, then enter the uucp site name for that site. For Example: nuchat not nuchat.sccsi.com Default Distribution Some newsgroups are regional or local in nature. uuPCB normally enters a distribution of "world". In some cases, you may want to limit things to your country, state|prov or city. If so, enter that value here. Conference Path The directory and filename for the message base. A CNAMES.@@@ import will fill in this field, but you can fill it in manually if you wish. Conference Name This entry is strictly for your information and for reports. It is the conference name as defined in CNAMES.@@@. A CNAMES.@@@ import will fill this in for you. It is not necessary to fill this out manually. Archive Directory If you elect to save some or all messages from this newsgroup as .ZIP files, the entry in this field is the subdirectory in which these files are stored. Archive Dir File This is a PC Board DIR file. uuPCB will write the file descriptions in PC Board format to this file. You should include the full path and filename. Such as: C:\PCB\GEN\DIR51 Message Archive Flag Options Archive Single Part Multi Part Flag Message Messages Archive Post Archive Post 0 X X 1 X 2 X X 3 X X X 4 X X 5 X X X X Archive Prefix When uuPCB archives a message in a ZIP file it will name it in the format: PREFIX + Sequence Number + .ZIP This prefix helps provide some meaning to these filenames. Limit them to 4 characters (if 4 digit sequence numbers are desired) or 5 characters if 3 digit sequence numbers are used. For example: FAQ, MAP or SRC Block Flag Every once in awhile, your feed will consistently send you news for a group you don't want. By entering "Y" here you can instruct uuPCB to discard these messages instead of posting them to the junk conference.
