Getting the registered and beta versions of RNET.EXE
----------------------------------------------------
When I receive your registration, you will be informed of the password to
access (download) the current registered version of RNET. Usually this
is done via a voice or data call to you and will also be stated in the
"security level" screen when you login to FTL as a registered user.
I also make a mailing of postcards to all RNET registered users when major
changes are in the works or the download password changes. For that
reason, please drop me a note if you ever move. Thanks!
The registered and beta versions are always available for download from:
Faster-Than-Light 404-292-8761 / 299-3930 (USR HST)
The Right Place<tm> 404-476-2607 / 476-0847 (USR HST)
RNET version 2.00 is a pending complete rewrite (in 'C') of the echo-
conference standards. Version 2.00 will be mailed on disk to registered
RNET users who have opted to register with US$25 or more. You will also
be mailed the latest/registered version of TXT2MSG 2.xx (and other such
Sysop utilities) at that time.
Upgrade policy: RNET has not required any upgrade fees, nor will it, for
any 1.xx versions. If you registered version 1.00 back in 1989, you are
still registered and entitled to any 1.xx version available. If you
register for $25, you'll get the 2.00 version when available. Versions
beyond 2.00 will require a nominal upgrade fee for 1.xx registered folks,
after which time you'll be entitled to any and all 2.xx versions.
1.xx versions are not mailed by disk -- you need to call FTL to get the
download password via the security level login screen. If you are a "new
user" then we've (a) not gotten the registration yet or (b) misspelled
something when entering your account into PCBSM -- leave a comment so that
we can find out what's going on. Please give us about 10-15 days from the
time you mail your registration before jumping up and down (heh).
If there is something you need in the way of a messagebase processing
utility, give me a yell! I'm always open to new ideas/utilities --
anything to make the Sysop's life just a bit easier!

Mr. Vostreys,
I am registering RNET.EXE version [ 1.09 ]. Please find enclosed a
check or money order for US $________ ($20.00 suggested) payable to
ROBERT VOSTREYS. This shows my support for the Shareware concept of
product distribution and is to encourage further development of RNET
as a Shareware product!
I understand that RNET is provided as-is and no warranties of any kind,
expressed or otherwise, are included and that I am using it at my own
risk.
If I have any comments or suggestions concerning RNET, I understand I
can contact you at the address shown above, on Faster-Than-Light BBS,
the ILink Sysops and/or MM-RNet conferences, SmartNet MarkMail and/or
Sysops conferences, via RIME Sysops conference, or GEnie R.Vostreys.
If I register for US $25+ I will receive RNET version 2.00 on disk
when available. Until that time, or if I registered with under $25,
I know I can download the registered version from RNET distribution
sites such as FTL and The Right Place and may download and operate
any 1.xx beta versions of RNET as available.
If I am not currently registered on FTL, please add my account to the
FTL BBS userfile with the password shown above. This will allow me
to download the latest beta/registered version at my leisure.
