1.08R Mon 07-27-1992 * Release *
1.08U
It took awhile, eh? 1.07 and the 1.08 beta's have been SOOO stable
it's been a cakewalk for everyone. However, as I'm in the middle of
working on 2.00, I thought I'd better get 1.08 "released". I
personally HATE software that's in beta forever. But, with 1.07 so
stable and the 1.08 stuff so minor, I left well enough alone.
I *hope* this is the last 1.xx release. 2.00 is coming together at
this point. I've got to review what PC-Relay is up to to see if there
are any features we can cross-link between both network standards.
It'll be nice to have routed mail and HAVE IT WORK.
Oh, BTW, Sparky's changed the rules again (so, what else is new?)
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08K Sat 07-25-1992 * Alpha *
Added ability to handle 150 line messages (OLX's default... sigh).
Reversed (fixed) beta version handling of RTAG (it was backward)
RTAG=ON|YES ==> ■ RNet v.vvx:
RTAG=OFF|NO ==> ■ Rvvvx:
Fixed problem with importing multiple QW? packets when KILLQWK was
NOT enabled.
Now allow up to 50 HANDLE= or NAME_CHANGE= operations instead of 25.
Disabled TAB expansion function. Was screwing up some ANSI screens.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08J * Special * -- minor release
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08I Wed 01-15-1992 * Beta *
Fixed NetStatus detection of Qmail4 packets when none of the first
256 conferences had NetStatus enabled.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08H Wed 10-09-1991 * Beta *
Fixed NetStatus detection of later version Kmail produced packets.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08G Mon 08-05-1991 * Beta *
Fixed ANSI=ALL function.
Fixed QMail4 Extended conference detection (broken in 1.08F). This
caused excessive pointer problem reporting (esp on zero message
messagebases). Reporting of zero message bases has also been changed
to show on the screen but not be logged to ERROR.LOG.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08F Thu 07-25-1991 * Beta *
Minor last minute changes (1.08D's been so stable I've left it running
as if it were released).
Added better QMail3 netstatus checking. May still need the
EXTENDED=YES option though.
Verbose reporting of DISK FULL errors.
Better handling of zero message messagebases.
Corrected problem with ONLY importing the last conference as well as
the specified conference.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08E * Special *
Special version for running on a T1000 with strange BIOS.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08D Tue 02-19-1991 * Beta *
Oops! I left the "shareware registration" message turned on! That's
the only change for 1.08D over 1.08B was to turn it back off.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08C Mon 02-18-1991 * Special *
Special version to attempt to correct a lockup problem related to
AWARD bios (I think). This version is not intended for general
release.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08B Sat 02-16-1991 * Beta *
Added further ANSI code fixing. RNet will now handle the following
translated ANSI sequences: "·[" ".[" and "`[" The most
important addition is the 250 (·) correction which is most commonly
in use on QWK based networks using a mix of software.
Fixed where some PCRelay taglines would not be packed down to a
single line (caused by the owner not putting their BBS tagline
portion in their PCRelay configuration).
Special modification for Jeff Freeman such that he can TCAN messages
based on text in the tagline. Usage: TCAN_TAG=text Note that case
IS important and that the text is searched for in the tagline (such,
you could so something silly like TCAN_TAG=ILink and no messages with
"ILink" in their taglines would be imported. This option (TCAN_TAG)
only supports a single operation. Ie, you can only TCAN *one* text
item. This TCAN function works globally on all conferences and only
on IMPORT. This is a "quickie" for Jeff Freeman.
Decreased frequency of [Rvvvv] tracking tagline.
Faster pointer checking for large systems running multiple networks.
------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
1.08A Thu 01-10-1991 * Beta *
Beta cycle on again -- please report ALL problems as soon as known!
This version will likely stay in beta for awhile while I work on the
2.xx version and configuration programs.
Corrected problem where ESC would not properly shutdown EXPORT -- it
would only stop the current conference, not the EXPORT function
itself.
QMail4 changed all the rules again! It's hard to follow a moving
target, eh? Corrected the double tagline problem related to QMail4
door. MarkMail will also be effecting corrections from that end
(alas, only in the 2.00 door, not the 1.xx versions). The correction
may cause Deluxe messages to not be tagged if they are imported with a
pre QMail4 door (ie, QMail3). MarkMail and other sourced Deluxe
messages will still work correctly. Blame this one on SparkWare --
he's not even compatable to his OWN software!
Rechecked the handle conversions AGAIN. Everything is working
perfectly: HANDLE=*NETNAME,LOCALNAME will do two-way translations
(NETNAME is changed into LOCALNAME on imports, LOCALNAME is changed
into NETNAME on exports).
