  14.     When the user exited an application, the following error was displayed at the workstation:

  20. ISSUE/PROBLEM

  22.     Configuration:

  24.         ■Workstation running Compaq DOS 3.31,
  25.         ■Server was running MS-DOS 5.0
  26.         ■The "comspec=c:\command.com" command line appeared correct
  27.  
  28.     The user was mapping the local C: drive to the C: drive on the server, so when the workstation tried to access the C:\COMMAND.COM, it located the C:\COMMAND.COM of DOS 5.0 on the server instead of the DOS 3.31 file on the workstation.

  30. SOLUTION

  32.     When the user mapped a different drive to the server and left the C: drive as the local drive, everything worked.
