FrontDoor -2- RemoteAccess Download Counter
(C)opyright 1993 Bill Dykstra
For use with FrontDoor and RemoteAccess 2.00
FD2RADLC will read the front door log file, search for files that were sent
from your system, and will then try to match the files sent from FrontDoor
with the RemoteAccess filebase. If the file that was sent is found in the
RA filebase, the download counter for that file is incremented by one.
Please note that the "Last Downloaded" date is NOT modified.
A LastRead marker is placed in your FrontDoor log file after FD2RADLC is
finished processing the file. This marker is moved to the end of the
FrontDoor log every time FD2RADLC is executed.
To configure the path to FILES.RA (and CONFIG.RA) and the path and filename
of the FrontDoor log file, run FD2RADLC /C.
You should NOT use this program while RA is online. This should probably be
run during a nightly event when the BBS is down. If you get a runtime error,
such as Runtime error 162, then the RA filebase is probably already being
used, and SHARE is causing this error. If you don't use SHARE then you
probably won't get this error, even if someone is online when you run the
program.
Do NOT compress the FD2RADLC.EXE file! FD2RADLC will modify itself when you
configure the path to CONFIG.RA and the path and filename of FrontDoor's log
file. If you compress the program, with PKlite or similar programs, this
modification will no longer be possible.
That's about all I have to say about this little util. If you have any
comments, suggestions, questions, problems, or WHATEVER, feel free to
contact me. I can be reached at:
