  1.                   FidoNet Echo 'NET-POL' Rules

  9. GENERAL:
  10.  
  11. The NET-POL echo is a place for talking about problems within 'FidoNet',
  12. and trying to find ways to resolve those problems.  It is also where a
  13. person can ask questions that involve 'FidoNet'.
  14.  
  15. SPECIFIC:
  16.  
  17. 1.  No flaming (anyone or anything).
  18. 2.  No discussion of any 'OtherNet' (actions, rules or its members).
  19. 3.  No 'GATING' to any 'OtherNet' without the express permission of the
  20.     Moderator of NET-POL.
  21. 4.  When the Moderator or Co-Moderator says a "... topic is off limits"
  22.     no more posts on that topic are allowed.
  23. 5.  When a topic is being discussed, express yourself ONCE, then IF you
  24.     change your mind you may again express yourself ONCE.  Do NOT post
  25.     repeats of your feelings on the subject.  IF the Moderator or Co-
  26.     -Moderator do not understand your post 'they' will ask you to reword
  27.     your post and re-enter it, or they will ask you to call one of them
  28.     voice to discuss it.
  29. 6.  When a person or group has been 'cut' from the NET-POL echo do not
  30.     give them access.
  31. 7.  If you feed the NET-POL echo to anyone else and are notified to 'cut'
  32.     their access, do so at once and send a Net Mail letter DIRECT (not
  33.     routed) to the Moderator stating you have done so or call voice to
  34.     let them know, THEN if you want to dispute it, discuss it VOICE with
  35.     the Moderator.

  37. REPLACEMENT OF MODERATOR/CO-MODERATOR:
  38.  
  39. 1.  Co-Moderator position is selected by the Moderator.
  40. 2.  Moderator duties will be done by the Co-Moderator if for any reason
  41.     the Moderator is not available for periods upto 2 months.
  42. 3.  If the Moderator steps down the Moderator will choose the replacement
  43.     Moderator.
  44. 4.  If the Moderator dies, the Co-Moderator becomes the Moderator with
  45.     all the rights of a Moderator.
