  7.     gladness. Come into His presence with singing. Know that the Lord is
  8.     God. It is He that made us, and we are His; we are His people, and
  9.     the sheep of His pasture.''

  28. All:         O most high, almighty, good Lord God, to you belongs
  29.         praise, glory, honor and all blessing.
  30. Leader:     Praised be my Lord God with all his creatures, and
  31.         especially, our brother, the sun, who brings us the day
  32.          and who brings us the night; fair is he, 
  33.         and shines with a very great splendor; O Lord, he signifies 
  34.         You to us. 
  35. Response:     Praise be my Lord for our sister the moon, and for the
  36.         stars, which He has set clear and lovely in the heaven.
  37. Leader:       Praised be my Lord for our brother the wind, and for the
  38.         air and clouds, calms, and all weather by which you uphold life
  39.         in all creatures.
  40. Response:     Praised be my Lord for our sister, water, who is very
  41.         serviceable to us, and humble and precious... and very clean.
  42. Leader:       Praised be my Lord for our brother, fire, through whom you 
  43.               give us light in the darkness; he is bright and pleasant   
  44.               and very mighty and  strong.
  45. Response:     Praised be my Lord for our mother, the earth, which        
  46.               sustains us and keeps us, and brings forth grass and 
  47.                diverse fruits and flowers of many colors.
  48. All:          Praise and bless the Lord, and give thanks to Him and serve

  58.     God, sometimes I hold something small in my hand... a piece of moss
  59.     or a budding twig, and - peering closely at this tiny world - I feel
  60.     a sudden wonder. Help me to remember that you made these worlds, and
  61.     countless others, and...in remembering...come closer to you. O God,
  62.     we thank Thee today for the world in which you have placed us; for
  63.     the universe whose vastness is revealed in the blue depths of the
  64.     sky;  whose immensities are lit by shining stars beyond the strength
  65.     of mind to follow. We thank you for the beauty of our earth, for the
  66.     sweetness of the flowers, the solemnity of the stars, the sound of    
  67.     streams and swelling seas, for stretching lands and mighty mountains
  68.     which rest and satisfy the soul, the purity of dawn which calls us to
  69.     holy dedication, and the peace of the evening which speaks of
  70.     everlasting rest. Above  all, we thank you for the dignity you have
  71.     bestowed upon every human being as the crown of your Creation. Give
  72.     us the grace to let the light of your glory shine through us, in our
  73.     action, words and thoughts.  Amen.
