  7.         GRADING SKILLS POWER is a teacher developed database designed
  8.         specifically for Outcome-Based Education.  This program can be
  9.         used as an alternative or a supplement to a regular grading
  10.         program.
  11.  
  12.         Skills (or the educational term Outcomes) are entered in
  13.         different skill groups (for example, math, science, reading,
  14.         etc.).  Reports are created listing different skills that
  15.         students have achieved, and skills the students are still trying
  16.         to learn.  Administrative summaries include totals of all skills
  17.         the students have achieved.  Reports can be quickly printed
  18.         listing over 1100 skills to be learned during the school year.

  20.         GRADING SKILLS POWER can be used by both elementary and
  21.         secondary teachers.  Elementary teachers divide skills into
  22.         groups based on the subject matter (for example, math, science,
  23.         reading, etc.).  Secondary teachers divide skills into groups
  24.         based on their units.  For example, an earth science teacher
  25.         could have groups called rocks and minerals, weathering and
  26.         erosion, rivers, ground water, glaciers, volcanoes and plate
  27.         tectonics, weather, oceanography, and astronomy.

  29.         This program allows up to 75 skills listed in each of 15 skill
  30.         groups.  Up to 15 classes (groups of students) can use the same
  31.         set of skills.  Sample files are included with the program.
