  8. Laboratory in Argonne Illinois.  Its purpose is to foster communication
  9. between scientists in the natural and social sciences and researchers in
  10. information systems so as to encourage the rapid development of the
  11. field of scientific database research.  To further this end, plans are
  12. also being made for the electronic publishing of a Journal of Scientific
  13. Database Research.
