  6. This server is really meant for use by UK/European sites.  If you are
  7. not in this area please try and find a nearer archie server.

  9. There are a lot of commands.  Here is a barebones intro:
  10.   help            gives lots of help. Eg 'help about'
  11.   set pager       turns on output paging.
  12.   set term TYPE   set terminal type.  Eg 'set term vt100'.
  13.   prog PATTERN    searches for matches.  Eg 'prog bios'.
  14.   mail name       mails 'prog' results back. Eg 'mail lmjm@doc.ic.ac.uk'.
