  11.         The Hack Report is a monthly list of hacked programs, hoaxes,
  12.         Trojan Horses, and pirated commercial software seen posted for
  13.         download on BBS systems across the country and around the world.
  14.         The report is intended to help BBS SysOps and Users avoid
  15.         fraudulent files.
  16.  
  17.         The information in the report is compiled from reports in the
  18.         FidoNet International Echos SHAREWRE and WARNINGS (where the
  19.         report is posted as a series of messages on the first Sunday of
  20.         every month), reports in other echos and networks, reports from
  21.         individuals to the author, and from research done by The
  22.         HackWatchers and the author.

  24.         Your intrepid Hack Squad is beginning to wonder if chaos is the
  25.         normal state of affairs - the vacuum cleaners are working
  26.         overtime, but the dust still hasn't settled here at Hack Central
  27.         Station since the move from Kyle, TX to Garland, TX.  However,
  28.         even though a fever has slowed things down on the last night of
  29.         work on the report, the report is out.  Look for several
  30.         sightings of attacks against the popular ARJ archiver again, and
  31.         for a rather gutsy move on the part of an author of a popular
  32.         modem communications program.  Thanks to everyone who has helped
  33.         put this report together, and to those that have sent in
  34.         comments and suggestions.

  36.         This report is published as a public service of the FidoNet
  37.         International Echos SHAREWRE and WARNINGS, and by the author,
  38.         which means it is free to all readers.  Distribution of the file
  39.         to other BBS systems is encouraged, subject to these conditions:
