  3.              Why You Should Subscribe to -Pacific Edge Magazine-.

  6.         -Pacific Edge Magazine- seeks subscribers on a shareware-like
  7.         basis.  This means that you are free to try out and share the
  8.         magazine as you wish, provided it is unaltered.

  10.         However, if you find that you're reading us month after month
  11.         (or even day after day), we hope that this means you like us
  12.         enough to subscribe.

  14.         "What's in it for me?  Especially since it's not like I need a
  15.         printed manual, or some of that other stuff that shareware
  16.         programs hold back 'til you register...", I hear you ask.  Very
  17.         simple:  80% of your subscription goes to pay our writers.

  19.         Let me say that again: 80% of your subscription goes to pay our
  20.         writers.  The more people subscribe, the more money I can pay to
  21.         the writers.  The larger the payouts, the more likely it is I
  22.         can buy pieces from professional writers, thus, the better the
  23.         writing in the magazine will be.

  25.         I know of no other magazine where the relationship bewteen the
  26.         readers and the writers is this direct.

  28.         Most other magazines can't afford it:  subscriptions to them are
  29.         mostly just a way to cover postage, while their real revenue
  30.         comes from advertisements.

  32.         I don't plan to have anyone other than my readers have that kind
  33.         of power over this magazine; my only loyalty will be to my
  34.         readers.
