  8.                 PREMIUM EXEC 386SX-20 AND XIRCOM MULTIPLEXOR

  11. PROBLEM:       When a Xircom Parallel port Multiplexor is attached to the
  12.                Premium Exec 386SX-20 parallel port, the Xircom Pocket
  13.                Ethernet adapter reports the following error messages while
  14.                operating under Novell 386 OS:
  15.  
  16.                   "Pocket Ethernet failed memory test"
  17.                   "Network error on server"
  18.  
  19. AFFECTED
  20. SYSTEM:        AST Premium Exec 386SX-20 system.
  21.  
  22. CAUSE:         Incompatibility between Xircom's Parallel Port Multiplexor and
  23.                AST's Premium 386SX-20 system.
  24.  
  25. SOLUTION:      This is not an issue that AST can resolve.  Customers
  26.                experiencing this problem should contact Xircom for a
  27.                Multiplexor upgrade that will resolve this problem.
