? - Type "?[LETTER]" for HELP with a single command.
For example, type "?U" for HELP with UPLOADING.
Be sure to hit <Enter> or <Return> after each command.

A - Command is used to abort text download and msg list. This may
not abort the list at once as there is always some text still
in the buffer. Only enter "A" once.
@@ B
B - Command logs you off the BBS and disconnects your call.
@@ D
D - Command lets you Dowmload TEXT files from the BBS files section.
Syntax: D [filename] <line#> <line#> You MUST use PC/MS-DOS
filenames.You may specify line numbers to look at only a
portion of the file.
- Type "D USER.DOC" to download an entire file.
- Type "D USER.DOC 10" to list the first 10 lines.
- Type "D USER.DOC 10 20" to list lines 10 through lines 20.
Many of the files will be in Sub Directories. Sub
Directories are show as <DIR>. In this case to download
a file you must enter the Sub Directory name followed
by a \ then the file name ie D YAESU\FT290.MOD
You CANNOT download binary <BIN> files using the D command.
You must use YAPP to download binary <BIN> files (YD).
NOTE: You can't "download" mail. Use the "R" command to READ messages.

F - Command searches the BBS database of callsigns in order to
find which BBS a given user normally uses. This information is
not guaranteed to be totally accurate, since it relies on the
home BBSs given when a message is sent via the NTS system.

I - Command gives you information about this BBS.
@@ J
JK - Command gives you a list of calls connected to the BBS
@@ K
K - Command [Kill] lets you KILL only messages sent BY YOU or sent
TO YOU.
- Type "K[space][message#]" to KILL a specific message.
KM - KILL ALL messages sent to you that you have read [Kill Mine].
This will NOT kill any new mail to you that you have not read.
@@ L
L - Command LISTS messages in the mailbox.
L - LIST new msgs since you last used the L command.
LG - LIST groups and numbers of bulletins on bbs.
LG GROUP - LIST all messages in that 'GROUP' ie LG AMSAT.
LM - LIST all msgs TO YOU [List Mine].
LN - List UNREAD msgs TO YOU [List New].
LF 10 - LIST the FIRST 10 msgs [List First]
LL 10 - LIST the LAST 10 msgs [List Last].
L< [callsign] - LIST msgs FROM [callsign].
L> [callsign] - LIST msgs TO [callsign].
L@ [callsign] - LIST msgs TO BBS[callsign].
L [msg#] - LIST ONLY msgs ABOVE a given number.
L [msg#] [msg#] - LIST a group of messages.
L! [Word] - Searches message SUBJECT: field for a given word.
and returns a list of all messages containing the word.
ie L! Swap will return a list of all messages with the
word "Swap" in the subject field.
NOTE: The "L" command will now only list the last 50 messages

N - N[space][YourFirstName]<enter>" to enter your name.
@@ P
P - P <Enter> Toggles the Pause cmd, When you Type say "LL 30"
it lists 20 then waits for you to Type RETURN or A to
Abort current listing.
@@ R
R [message#] - READ a specific message.
You may have up to 6 message numbers per line.
RM - READ ALL messages addressed to YOU [Read Mine].
RN - READ ALL NEW messages addressed to YOU [Read New].
To READ msgs #313 and #325 type "R 313 325". Don't forget
SPACE.
R! [Word] - Read all messages with the [Word] in the SUBJECT:
ie. R! Wanted will allow you to read all messages
with the word 'Wanted' in the Subject.
Use L! first to make sure what you are reading
as there could be hundreds of messages with the
word in the subject. Use with care.
NOTE: You READ messages sent with the "R" commands.
To DOWNLOAD files you use the "D" command.
R< [callsign] - READ msgs FROM [callsign].
R> [callsign] - READ msgs TO [callsign].
R@ [callsign] - READ msgs TO BBS[callsign].
@@ S
S - Command lets you SEND MESSAGES (not "files").
SP [callsign] - SEND a PERSONAL message.
SP [callsign] @ [bbs] - SEND a message to a station AT another BBS by
automatic mail forwarding.
SB ALL - SEND a general bulletin addressed to ALL.
NOTE To upload files use the "U" command.
SR - To Send Reply to a message e.g..SR 1234 will
automatically a message back to the sender of No 1234
@@ T
T - Type "T<enter>" to TALK to the SysOp.
If SysOp IS available to chat, you'll get a response within
30 seconds type any thing to cancel.
@@ U
U - Command lets you UPLOAD a TEXT file TO the BBS file section.
Type U filename.extension<enter>" to upload a file.
For example, type "U BORK.DOC<enter>" to upload the file
"BORK.DOC".
You will be asked to enter a SHORT description of
your file before you upload it.
Note:- You CANNOT UPLOAD BINARY files with U you
must use YAPP (YU).
@@ V
V - Shows the number of active messages and the next message
number.
V<enter> - To see this BBS's software version.
V [message#] - To READ a specific message.
You may have up to 6 message numbers per line.
VM - READ ALL messages addressed to YOU [Read Mine].
VN - READ ALL NEW messages addressed to YOU [Read New].
- To READ msgs #313 and #325 type "V 313 325".
@@ W
W - Command lists the FILES available on disk. Depending on
system capacity, files may be divided into sub-directories
by class or category.
W<enter> - To list the MAIN file directory [What files].
WN<enter> - To list NEW files in the MAIN directory [What New].
New means new since the last time you logged . There may be
sub-directories, which will appear as "MAPS <DIR>" when
you do the directory listing. To list the files in these
directories, type the sub-directory name after the W.
ie WN YAESU or WN ICOM
A file may be either plain text <TXT> or binary <BIN>.
A binary file may only be download using YAPP.
Each file when listed will have a short description
beside it.
For example:
W DOCS<enter> - To list the DOCS directory.
W ICOM<enter>" - To list the ICOM directory.
W! - Keyword search for files. Searches for all files
with a specified keyword in the file name or
description.
For example :
W! FT7400 - list all files with FT4700 in the name or description.
@@ Y
Y - YAPP binary file transfer
YD - YAPP Download
YU - YAPP upload.
For exmaple :
YU UTIL.EXE - upload UTIL.EXE using YAPP binary transfer
For example :
YD FRED.COM - download FRED.COM using YAPP binary transfer
Files may be Sub Directories. If this is the case
you must enter the Sub Directory followed by a \
then the file name ie YD UTILS\PROG.COM
You can DOWLOAD and UPLOAD both TEXT <TXT> and
BINARY <BIN> files using YAPP.
Please Note: Files uploaded with YAPP go into a seperate
directory that cannot be accessed by users.

X - command changes your status between "normal" and "eXpert" user.
