Contour Processing Facility
The Contour Processing Facility provides all the interactive and
automatic techniques to attach the ground height to digital contour
data. After automatic linking of linestrings into connected strings,
contour heights are added as either DMRS linkages or Z coordinates
in both 2D and 3D design files. A new feature of Contour Processing
Facility is the output of ASCII files suitable for DTM manipulation.
Contour Processing Facility is available as a single package, or the
individual components of Connected Strings or Contour Tagging
can be purchased separately.
PC
Polygon Processor
Many Geographic Information Systems (GIS) require the recognition
of areas of polygons of interest bounded by digitized linework.
These polygons may be used for the attachment of database
attributes. MicroStation uses complex and simple shapes to
represent polygons. Polygon Processor relieves you of the tedium
of manually creating closed elements.
* 1. Clean your network by closing undershoots and deleting
overshoots at user definable tolerances; inset a node at all
intersections; and detect and flag all misclosures.
* 2. Validate your network to identify possible duplicate linework.
* 3. Generate polygons (with optional centroids) from lines,
linestrings, and arcs on user specified levels.
PC
Transformation Utility
Transformation Utility performs coordinate based stretching or
warping of maps, charts, or other drawings. Transformation Utility
provides the means to merge MicroStation design files from
different coordinate systems, or to transform a single design file to a
new coordinate system using "rubber sheeting" techniques.
Transformations include Helmert, Affine, and Projective options.

RPBL Municipal Mapping, Building Permitting Module #2
Building permits is a set of tools used in managing building permits.
We provide every permit required for residential, commercial, and
industrial construction. This includes, but is not limited to,
foundation, framing, sheathing, electrical, energy, final, and many
others. Information is linked to building plot plans within the
MicroStation graphics environment or created outside of graphics
and later linked to a graphics occurrence. The buildings are color
coded graphically to allow quick recognition of building material,
types, and fire codes for other department uses. This product
provides a set of checks for prompt inspections and responses to
inadequate construction methods.
PC Mac Unix SPARC
RPBL Municipal Mapping, Water Management Module #3
We track water sources, tanks, mains, pumps, connections of all
types, the all-important fire hydrants, and water service. We provide
the tools to effectively track, maintain and manage any water system.
We begin with water well management. Inherent to the graphics
package and database that we have developed is the capability of
inventory control and reporting. Keeping track of your inspection
dates will allow an operator to query the database and determine
when and where the next inspection is necessary. This can be
accomplished inside or outside of graphics.
PC Mac Unix SPARC
RPBL Municipal Mapping, Gas Management Module #4
AIM Consultants has provided an easy-to-use interface between
MicroStation and Oracle to help you manage your gas system.
Tracking the source, storage, pumps, mains, connections, and
services creates a unique structure of checks and balances to keep
your gas system in check with your community. Gas mains cover
long distances and are costly to be updated and maintained. To
make this process easier, we begin to calculate and attach this
information to the database as you draw. All fields are easily typed in
or read in from the graphics file itself. When the edit or display
commands are used, the fields are updated automatically.
PC Mac Unix SPARC
RPBL Municipal Mapping, Sanitary Waste Management Module #5
We track many items that are important to the integrity of a well-
managed sewer system such as a pipe network which is vital to an
efficient waste system. Let RPBL Sanitary Waste Management track
this system graphically and intelligently. We provide a capability
within the Sanitary Waste Management software to trace back waste
from the source to the treatment plant. The overall package
provides you with the ability to calculate the waste load on your
system and predict its future impact on the environment.
PC Mac Unix SPARC
RPBL Municipal Mapping, Storm Water Management Module #6
Storm drainage is the disposal or distribution of rainwater runoff to
its natural outlets. Man has caused these natural distribution routes to
be re-routed and distributed to man made locations or dispensed to
new outlets. This situation has created a unique gravity or force-fed
system of reservoirs, lifts, pumps, pipes, ditches, canals, and
junction boxes. This distribution network must be kept in synch;
the slightest miscalculation could create poor drainage, ponding, and
even flooding. We provide the tools to effectively track, maintain,
and manage any storm basin system.

CG-MS-Drawing Aids
This product has specialized routines for automating the survey map
production process. For instance, annotation, bearings and/or
distances are placed on the lines by entering point numbers,
clicking on the points, or clicking on the line. The results come
from precise coordinates in a coordinate database file or precise
line information in an element database. The operation is fast,
effortless, and error free. The product is produced by surveyors for
surveyors.
PC Unix
CG-MS-Topographic
This topographic software will generate contours from data
gathered by surveyors by means of radial or grid topo methods, or
from data from aerial photography via XYZ point files. Attention is
paid to "break" lines obtained by simple field coding of points.
Quality results with minimum operator training and minimum
operator involvement. The quality and procedural simplicity of this
program are achieved from 60 years of combined surveying
experience in gathering and processing topographic data.

GEOI
GEOI is a package that helps to design geodetical surveys in the field
of cadastral and industrial engineering. Automatic data flow from
acceptance of field data and their mathematical evaluation up to the
establishment of finalized flawless project data (points, lines) is our
prime and foremost concern. Numerous programs such as free
stationing, computing of polar points, polar laying out, computing
of sections (straight line, circle), transformation, and polygonal lines
can be executed in dialog form. An elaborate batch file helps to
eliminate errors within the project and to correct all subsequent
computations by means of an automatic batch run.
PC Unix
GEOI-DGN
GEOI-DGN transfers points and/or line information from ASCII
format into a design file. The computation of the coordinates must
be done in GEOI or available from tachymeter acceptance or
another computation program. The point and line codes are
allocated to various graphic attributes via variable generation files.
Cells are placed absolutely and relatively. Lines, polygonal lines,
ellipses, and circular arcs are generated with the help of various
defining codes. At the same time, different shapes are generated,
such as rectangles, rotated rectangles, polygons, and right-angled
polygons. Cells are included in 1, 2, or 3 measurements and stablized
correspondingly.

SysteMap 4.0
SysteMap 4.0 is a software and hardware package that converts an
analog stereo plotter encoded in either the model coordinates
(x,y,z) or the photo coordinates (x'y',x"y") into a stereo digitizer.
The system provides the photogrammetrist a real time MicroStation
interface for 3D terrain coordinate data capture. MicroStation serves
as the graphic and database environment for digital mapping or GIS
applications. The system includes orientation and other
photogrammetric facilities. The AT modules can be used to capture
photo or model coordinates for aerial triangulation. The system
components are very easy to install.
PC
SysteMap.TIN/CIP
SysteMap.TIN/CIP accepts Digital Elevation Models (DEM) and
processes the data into a Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN). From
the TIN, contours are automatically interpolated at user-specified
intervals. The system utilizes the rendering facility in MicroStation to
model the terrain in any view. The system is extremely fast.
Interactive editing of the DEM is therefore practical. The system has
no inherent limit to the number of DEM data points and is
commonly used in digital mapping. SysteMap.TIN/CIP is also a
major component in ISM SysImage Digital Orthophoto System.

SysImage - Digital Orthophoto System
SysImage utilizes scanned aerial photographs and corresponding
Digital Elevation Models (DEM) as data sources. The system rectifies
the topographic displacement and scale variations inherent in an
aerial photograph. The final images are geo-coded in XYZ ground
coordinates. The image soft copy (SysImage SDI format) can be
manipulated in MicroStation. Hard copies can be generated via TIFF
or Postscript compatible imaging devices. The rectified images can
also be displayed with corresponding DGN files in any view.
PC SPARC
SysImage - User License
SysImage User License accepts SDI, TIFF, and binary format raster
data from SysImage or other systems. It performs image
manipulation functions including shifting, scaling, mosaicking, and
tone matching. The system outputs in SDI, TIFF, Binary, Postscript,
and DGN formats. This system is included as a module in "SysImage
Digital Orthophoto System" or available separately. The system can
function as an additional ancillary module to SysImage or can be
used as a standalone system for raster image processing.
PC SPARC

ELTRANS
ELTRANS is an elastic transformation program that makes it
possible to fit new design file data into old design file data. From a
list of monument points, a set of transformation parameters is
calculated using the least squares method. A list of residual errors is
calculated as well. The data is first transformed in relation to the
transformation parameters. Secondly, it is moved according to its
distance from the monument points. The closer the point is to a
monument point, the greater the correction from the residual error
from the monument point. It is possible to choose Helmert (with
or without scale factor) or Affine transformation.

MAPS 3D
MAPS 3D is a powerful and versatile system for digital topographic
and thematic map production. The system provides a fast and
effective tool for capturing and editing map data. Input to MAPS 3D
can be from either a photogrammetric stereoplotter or a digitizing
tablet or table. The system features:
* Database Link. All data captured using MAPS 3D is automatically
linked to a dBASE III+ compatible file in real time.
* Versatility. MAPS 3D can easily be customized by the user for a
variety of map scales and project specifications.
* Project management and database utilities are built in.
CHECK 3D
The following add-on modules are available for MAPS3D:
* CHECK 3D processes digital map files to identify and flag a variety
of errors or potential errors. The program checks for noding
errors, misjoins, duplicate data, spikes (x, y, or z), sharp angles
(slivers), hanging end points (undershoots/overshoots), and a
variety of user-specified topological conditions (such as
directionality, level surfaces). Error locations are flagged with a cell
and stored in a separate design file for subsequent interactive
editing. CHECK 3D uses all available RAM to process large design
files quickly. CHECK 3D significantly improves productivity by
minimizing interactive editing time.
EDIT 3D
.
* EDIT 3D uses the output error file from CHECK 3D to drive the
operator (window center) to each error location. Upon
inspection the potential errors can be fixed, accepted, or
deferred. The accepted errors are not revisited upon subsequent
runs of CHECK 3D. Error types are identified by unique symbols
(cells). EDIT 3D optimizes map editing. Also, map editing can be
done using a 12" x 12" tablet.
FILTER 3D
* FILTER 3D scans a design file and removes superfluous data in line
elements based on user-defined criteria. Filtering criteria include
xy distance, z distance, deflection angle, and tube radius. Prior to
filtering, you can determine the amount of data that will be
removed given different sets of filtering criteria. An option to
detect and remove duplicate points is also included.
LINK 3D
* LINK 3D attaches a MAPS 3D database linkage to each element
that matches characteristics (level, color, line code, line weight,
and graphic group) defined in the LINK 3D parameter files. When
linked, MAPS 3D can be used to edit and process the file.
NEAT 3D
* NEAT 3D generates digital map sheet surrounds (design file
format) to user-specified criteria. Features include grid ticks or
lines, coordinate value annotation, map border lines, and text size.
NEAT 3D is easy to use and creates mathematically correct neat
line boundaries with minimal operator input.
NODE 3D
* NODE 3D processes digital map files to create mathematically
correct nodes (2D or 3D) at element intersections, in accordance
with user-specified criteria. The program also removes duplicate
points and overshoots to create "clean" topologically structured
data files. The software eliminates interactive snapping and greatly
reduces edit time.
