  6. I received the following from the Chicago Genealogical Society and
  7. thought it might be helpful to all.

  9. The LDS Family  History Library recently acquired 1,750 rolls of
  10. microfilmed federa court naturalization records for the use of
  11. researchers. The records apply to the courts which were in the states
  12. covered by the National Archive branches in CA, IL, NJ, PA, and WA.
  13. The case files generally date from 1906-1941, with some indexes
  14. available through 1957.

  16. For each immigrant these files would include a certificate of
  17. Petition for citizenship.  In these you will find original and
  18. Americanized names, exact birth dates and birth places for the
  19. applicant and his family, last foreigh residence, date, palce and
  20. means of arrival, and a physical description and phtograph (after
  21. 1929).
