  13. All Bronscan View File bundles from CENSBASE at Ridjek Thome
  14. contain the following:

  16.        BRON_???.ZIP   Files to a volume of approximately 500Kbytes,
  17.                       where ??? represents the Chapman code for the
  18.                       appropriate original census file:
  19.                       (viz.  UKC_PEE.ARJ ≡ BRON_PEE.UK ≡ Peebleshire)
  20.        INDICES.ZIP    Two files:
  21.                       PLACES.UK lists all UKCfiles/Counties with Parishes
  22.                       NAMES.UK lists all Names with Parish & County
  23.        FILES.LST      List of the BRON_???.ZIP files
  24.        FILES.IDX      Ditto but BRONSCAN format ready for concatenating
  25.                       to your UK.IDX, plus entries for the indices
  26.                       Copy FILES.IDX to your Bronscan directory and type
  27.                       the following at the DOS prompt:
  28.                       COPY UK.IDX+FILES.IDX UK.IDX
  29.        BRONBULL.ASC/ANS/AVT
  30.                       ASCII, ANSI and AVATAR versions of a Menu
  31.                       bulletin should you wish to use it on your BB
  32.        STOPRESS.TXT   Latest information on the CENSBASE project

  35. All bundles are concatenated with PKZIP version 2 with the compression
  36. set at NO compression and authenticity verification on.

  39. All Bronscan ZIP View Files are as follows:

  41.        BRON_???.UK    The view file of the Chapman coded County in
  42.                       ASCII text format, indented and BRONFIXED
  43.                       ready for use

  45. All View Files are compressed with PKZIP version 2 with the compression
  46. set at maximum and authenticity verification on.

  60. Bronscan View Files are versions of the UK 2% Census Counties
  61. available in a rationalised BRONSCAN format for easy BB viewing.
  62.  
  63. You will notice that in the header of the BRONSCAN formatted listing
  64. that I am offering a selective database search for any genealogist.
  65. Anyone who runs a BB may make this offer to their users.  If sufficient
  66. traffic warrents it a special echo could be created which would
  67. obviously be most convenient.

  69. Also included are "Bulletin Screens" in the three standard formats,
  70. ASCII, ANSI and AVATAR, which you might like to use on your bulletin
  71. board.  That is, of course, if you use BRONSCAN and wish to use my files.
