  1.  SCBATRAK INSTALLATION NOTES
  2.  ---------------------------
  3.  If you received SCBATRAK from a computer bulletin board system, the
  4.  automatic installation program has not been included in order to reduce
  5.  the file size. To use the program, follow these instructions:
  6.  
  7.  1. Make a new directory on your hard drive named SCBATRAK using
  8.     the DOS command:     md \scbatrak       and then press Enter
  9.  
  10.  2. Change to the new directory using the DOS command:
  11.     cd\scbatrak         and then press Enter
  12.  
  13.  3. Extract all of the files from the archive into the new directory.
  14.  
  15.  4. To run the program, use the command:
  16.     scbatrak       and then press Enter
  17.

  20.  If you received SCBATRAK on a 360K 5 1/4" diskette, it is supplied in a
  21.  "self-extracting archive" format. This means the program has been
  22.  electronically smushed into the smallest possible size to fit on the
  23.  diskette. It also means there was no room for the automatic installation
  24.  program. To install SCBATRAK from a 360K diskette, follow these steps:
  25.  
  26.  1. Make a new directory on your hard drive named SCBATRAK using
  27.     the DOS command:     md \scbatrak       and then press Enter
  28.  
  29.  2. Change to the new directory using the DOS command:
  30.     cd\scbatrak         and then press Enter
  31.  
  32.  3. Extract the program using the following command. This example assumes
  33.     the SCBATRAK diskette is in the  A  drive:
  34.     a:scbatr20            and then press Enter
  35.  
  36.  4. The program will now be extracted. To run the program, use the command:
  37.     scbatrak       and then press Enter
  38.  
  39. If you are upgrading a current installation, the archive will detect the
  40. presence of the old files with the same name as the new files. The archive
  41. will ask something like this:     FEATURES.DOC Overwrite [Y/N]
  42. Just keep typing the  Y  key each time it asks the question until the
  43. program is fully extracted.

  46.  If you received the program on a 720K 3 1/2" diskette, an automatic
  47.  installation program is provided. Switch to the floppy drive where the
  48.  SCBATRAK disk is inserted, type  INSTALL  and press Enter (INSTALL /M if
  49.  you do not have a color monitor). If you have absolutely no idea what the
  50.  instructions on the screen are telling you, just keep pressing the Enter
  51.  key or answering  Y  to the questions and the program will be installed.
  52.  To use the program, change to the directory where SCBATRAK is installed,
  53.  type  SCBATRAK  at the DOS prompt and press Enter. If you decide to print
  54.  the documentation (a.k.a. the file MANUAL.DOC), be advised that it's about
  55.  forty pages long.

  59.  IMPORTANT NOTE FOR USERS OF SCBABOTL:
  60.  -------------------------------------
  61.  If you are replacing an SCBABOTL installation with SCBATRAK, and you are
  62.  limited on how much free disk space you have available, the install
  63.  program may tell you there is not enough room to install the program. The
  64.  install program needs 680K of free disk space before it will run. If this
  65.  is the case, try deleting your SCBABOTL.EXE file to free up enough disk
  66.  space.

  68.  If you are a registered user of SCBABOTL, SCBATRAK will automatically
  69.  convert your data files to the new format. If you have not yet registered,
  70.  it won't. You will have to manually reenter all of your data or register.

  74.  IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PERSONS UPGRADING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION OF SCBATRAK
  75.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.  When the installation program runs, it will detect the presence of your
  77.  current SCBATRAK.EXE file. It will ask you if you want to reinstall the
  78.  program. Answer  Y  for YES.
