These instructions tell you how you should setup your user
account on a Maximus system in order to use 1stReader.
The 1stReader Maximus script has been tested with Maximus release
3.50. Make sure that you do not have HOTKEYS turned on in your
Maximus user profile. This script assumes that hotkeys have been
turned OFF.
Before you can begin using 1stReader with Maximus you need to
call the BBS and setup your offline configuration. Make sure
that you setup the compression method (or archiver) to PKZIP
and that the file transfer protocol selected is ZMODEM. Also,
you will need to select the conferences you wish to scan.
You can call this BBS by selecting the 'CALL' button from the
'Mail packets' screen.
After you have setup your system configuration for the Maximus
system 1stReader is ready to operate.
