  5.  We have  been experiencing extremely high costs in maintaining TheList
  6.  through the verification of long distance bbs's and in time it takes to
  7.  create and check the list in general. Effective 12/1/89 we are requesting
  8.  that ANY sysop who wishes to have their bbs listed in TheList, must make
  9.  a contribution of $5.00 or more to help offset costs incurred from the
  10.  maintenance of TheList. This fee is a one time request, their are no
  11.  additional charges for future maintenance of your listing in TheList.
  12.  We verify over 600 bbs's per month, no other bbs list does that kind
  13.  of maintenance !!!!. Approximatly 30 new bbs's are added each month by
  14.  SysOps submitting this form.

  16.  Please be aware that "TheList" has now surpassed virtually all other free,
  17.  downloadable bbs listings in their user numbers. Through somewhat limited
  18.  polling and checking we have concluded that "TheList" is posted on over
  19.  900 bbs's nationwide and has a readership of over 7,000 bbs users. We think
  20.  that the inclusion of your bbs in "TheList" can only help your system get
  21.  more exposure and improve traffic on your system.

  23.  By submitting this form you will also be added to the SysOps mailing list
  24.  which is a mailing list made available to companies that sell hardware,
  25.  software and other items of interest to SysOps. This is a fantastic way
  26.  to get new info on the latest and greatest things available to SysOps.
