#DIR //Target directory
Select disk directory where installation is to be done. You
may delete in input line by BackSpace key and re-write it in
any way.
!
#UD01 //Target directory
This item selecting allow you to designate the directory (or the
disk) where all necessary files are to be placed. The directory
needn't exist, it will be created. The entire data capacity
transferred on the disk depends on next choices and will not
exceed 500 kB.

#UD02 //Previous installation
This line in the menu shows what the previous installation was.
If the system is installed for the first or into a new directory,
the warning 'Previous installation not found' will occur. If the
system has been installed into selected directory, user may
switch with ENTER key between two choices:
Modify the previous installation
Ignore the previous installation
In the former case, all the choices from the target directory
will be restored according to the previous installation and in
the later case, the default and recommended choices will be set
up. In both cases, there is a possibility to change these
settings by activation of the last but one line of this menu, or
to accept them without any change by activation of the last line.

#UD03 //Intended for ...
In the menu line 'Intended for ...' you may choose amongst:
'Operator' - installation and any changes are made by a
specialist; the auxiliary programs will not be transferred on
disk.
'User' - he makes necessary maintenance himself, but only with
basic knowledge on computer and computer viruses.
'Programmer' - here we supposed wide knowledge; it is possible to
allow any restricted actions.
In agreement with this choice, the settings of choices in further
protective actions in Further Protection menu will be set up. You
may activate this menu with F6 key and there it is possible to
change recommended setting, above detailed, one by one.

#UD04 //Select the protections for individual disks
You may switch from Introductory Panel into Installation Panel
with ENTER key and there select files and other objects to be
protected for individual disks.

#UD05 //Automatic installation
Activation of this line makes installation according to the
default choices or the choices set up in the previous
installation.
The default choice for write protection are *.COM, *EXE, *SYS and
*.OV* files (except CONFIG.SYS) on all disks and *.DAT files in
installation directory.
Amongst the further protective actions, there are made checking
of MBR and BOOT sectors of system disk and integrity checking
(CRC) of IO.SYS, COMMAND.COM and AV.EXE of system disk.

#MOPT01 //F6 - Intended for ...
In the menu line 'Intended for ...' you may choose amongst:

#MOPT02 //F6 - Modify AUTOEXEC and CONFIG
If you select YES, call of AVACT.BAT batch file will be inserted
into AUTOEXEC.BAT. This call is intended for activation of AV
program during each starting of computer. The installation of
AECDRV.SYS driver and REM AV.SYS (with needed memory size) driver
variant of resident AV.EXE will be inserted into CONFIG.SYS.

#MOPT03 //F6 - Residents Installation
If you select YES, the switch 'T' will be inserted into the
command line in AVACT.BAT batch file. This switch enables
guarding of the resident programs installation made with TSR
service (AV F .. T..).
Then it is necessary to insert the AV program activation after
the installation of all needed residents programs.

#MOPT04 //F6 - Guarding of memory occupation
If you select YES, the switch 'H' will be inserted into the
command line in AVACT.BAT batch file. This switch enables
guarding of the TopMem (AV F .. H..).
Many prorams when being run will modify the system tables for
memory management. That is why the false positive may occur (see
next documentation). Be careful when you are using this choice.

#MOPT05 //F6 - Guarding of protected files number
If you select YES, the number of protected files will be inserted
following the internal command 'G' into AVCMD.DAT file during its
creating. In time of any further start of PC or in time of any
further activation of AV program, this number will be compared
with current state, and a message will be displayed on it. This
choice represents a preventive measure intended against spawning
viruses. If the number was changed intentionally, you may update
it in AVCMD.DAT file manually, or you may use AVACTUPD.BAT batch
file, intended for it. By running it you may actualize changes
made on disk with an agreement of user.

#MOPT06 //F6 - Guarding of FAT against re-writing
The item in FAT table is an integral part of the file under
protection and that is why it is also protected. Since all the
actions in PC run according to the first copy of FAT table, it is
protected automatically. However, it is possible to protect also
the second (or another) copy of FAT table. You may switch amongst
these choices with ENTER key.

#MOPT07 //F6 - Enable of overriding during entry
If you select YES, then you may enable also a restricted entry on
disk by pressing the two shift keys simultaneously during the
acoustic signalisation. The installation program will insert the
switch 'EW' on the line with command for AV program activation
into AVACT.BAT file (AV F.. EW..).
WE RECOMMEND USING OF THIS CHOICE ONLY TO SKILLED PERSONS WORKING
WITH GREAT CARE.

protection.

#MOPT08 //F6 - Allow the unrepeated resident installation
If you select YES, then you may enable also a restricted
installation of a resident program by pressing the two shift keys
simultaneously during the acoustic signalisation. The
installation program will insert the switch 'ET' on the line with
command for AV program activation into AVACT.BAT file (AV F..
ET..).
F5 key demonstrates the sound indicating attempt to break
protection against installation of resident programs.

#MOPT09 //F6 - Allow the unrepeated memory size change
If you select YES, then you may enable to continue in workin with
your PC also after te change of memory size by pressing the two
shift keys simultaneously during the acoustic signalisation. The
installation program will insert the switch 'EH' on the line with
command for AV program activation into AVACT.BAT file (AV F..
EH..).
F5 key demonstrates the sound indicating attempt to change
memory size.

#MOPT10 //F6 - Possibility to go on after an error
If you select YES, the parameter 'Q' will not be inserted on
command line for AV program activation in AVACT.BAT file. Ten it
is possible to go on in activation also after te moment, when
some inconsistency or errors on disk ave been found (e.g.
disagreement of TAT table copies.)

#MIM //Main Instal Menu
The actions on the right in menu may be carried out for the
individual disks, marked by symbolical windows. The menu
communicates always with the selected disk. You may select the
disk with a letter key, mouse or right/left arrow key.
Lock activity settings:
- Entire disk protection - the whole disk is under protection
- File protection - the individual files are under protection
Checks during booting of operating system:
- BootChk - the check of Boot and MBR sectors of disk
- CRC Chk Auto - automatic check of files' CRC
Possibility for an extra check of CRC:
- CRC Chk Extend - the check of files' CRC on request
Informational functions:
- DiskInfo - information on given disk is displayed
- LockInfo - information on setting of the protection is
displayed
- F6 - menu activation for selecting of further protective actions
- F9 - file selection for CRC check and write protection
- F8 - effectiveness check of commands for file selection
- F2/ESC - Terminating/Exiting of installation

#STROM //Active TREE in File Lock Menu
There are marked by a square the nodes in tree structure of the
disk, where are lodged the commands for selection of file. If
they are the commands concerning of all subdirectories, then the
mentioned subdirectories are marked by a strip.
ENTER (double click) inserts a command,
F7 cancels all the commands of selected node,
TAB passes into the right window (Action) and back,
F9 checks effectiveness of the command for selected node and
adds/takes away individual files for protection,
F2 saves new set of commandsfor next use,
ESC doesn't accept the made changes.

#AKCE //Active ACTION in File Lock Menu
The list of commands for file selection is displayed for selected
node in disk structure.
ENTER (double click) changes (edits) selected command,
DEL cancels selected command,
INS inserts new command in front of selected one,
TAB switchs back into TREE menu.

#DETAIL //Detail Menu
The files selected for protection are marked on the left.
ENTER (double click) switchs over the file indication for
protections,
F2 adds the changes carried out here to set of commands and exits
detailed selection,
ESC cancels detailed selection and changes carried out.

#EDFAKCE //EDIT Filter for ACTION
Creating of a command for file selection
The list of file names (file_name) without path may be typed. Te
command is concerning only of selected node. You may use '*' in
names, but not '?'.
In next fields, the action is set up:
- SEL/UNSEL - the selected files are marked/demarked,
- DIR/TREE - the command will affect only directories/or also
subdirectories.
F5 - the default choise will be written into input field,
DEL - the input field will be deleted.

#EDFDET //EDIT Filter for DETAIL
Entry of filter for creating of file list that are to be checked
in detail if they are under protection or aren't, if they are to
be inserted or removed into/from this list. The files from the
selected directory or directory and its subdirectories will be
displayed according to the state of DIR/TREE field.
F5 - the default choise will be written into input field,
DEL - the input field will be deleted.
