It is 22metres above the floor, and is 13metres in diameter. \r\rSix concentric circles were incorporated into the pattern of The Crown. Consisting of a number of panels which fit together like a complex puzzle, the design necessitated the use of a computer during the actual construction stage, ensuring each panel was placed correctly. \r\rLike the ceiling panels, the Crown is made from plywood with white birch veneer, supported on a framework of North American oregon.\r \rWhen the Crown and the ceiling panels were refurbished in 1989, a platform was suspended in mid-air which allowed the workmen to carry out repairs. Cables supporting the platform were dropped down from a number of giant winches in the ceiling.\r";
