  10. This is a collection of patches for the original quakemaps by ID Software.
  11. The patches fixes the infamous skybug in amigaquake, by replacing the sky
  12. textures. I have also included additonal patches for the dm maps, which
  13. crops the textures to 16x16, so that renderingspeed is improved. A lot of
  14. the textures are changed to solids, but no fullbrights are used.

  18. Usage:
  19.  
  20. Extract the maps you would like to patch from pak0.pak and pak1.pak
  21. to the id_skyfix dir (preferably all maps - requires around 40 MB)
  22. Doubleclick the MapPatcher icon, and follow the instructions.
  23.  
  24. If you extract 1 map at a time, only 8 MB is needed.
  25.  
  26. Alternatively, use one of the "Auto.." scripts for the maps in pak0 and
  27. pak1, which are fully automated.
  28. If you want cropped textures for the dm levels, use "AutoPatcher_Crop"
  29.

  31. When the patching is finished, delete the maps in your pakfiles and
  32. insert the patched ones from the bluesky dir.
