  23.       CLOKTEST 2000 is a free powerful program that checks your computer for
  24.       date problems that may occur in the year 2000. CLOKTEST 2000 should
  25.       be run on 100% IBM AT compatible computers and should run on 286Mhz to
  26.       300Mhz+ computers. CLOKTEST 2000 and CLOKTEST 2000 Pro comply with
  27.       British Standards Institute PD-2000-1 requirements.

  29.       We cannot afford to give away free software, however our reasoning
  30.       is, if your computer passes all the tests then why should you pay for
  31.       software you will never use again. If your computer fails any tests,
  32.       we would like you to purchase CLOKTEST 2000 Pro. CLOKTEST 2000 Pro
  33.       includes a manual and technical support.

  35.       Essentially, the problem with many computers, including new computers
  36.       is that in the year 2000, DOS will report a date of 1980 or other date.
  37.       And this date will be supplied to all computer applications that use
  38.       the date for calculations. Applications may include accounts packages
  39.       spreadsheets and so on.
  40.  
  41.       As the 31/12/1999 23:59:59 approaches the computers real time clock
  42.       will be registering the century as 1900. The date should roll over
  43.       to the new century, but the real time clock does not update the
  44.       century field and hence remains at 1900.
  45.  
  46.       Software repairs or fixes offer the simplest and easiest ways of
  47.       correcting the problem. However for some computers a BIOS upgrade
  48.       may be necessary or flash BIOS patch. If a BIOS upgrade is required
  49.       you should contact your supplier.

  51.       After all the tests have been completed CLOKTEST 2000 generates a
  52.       text file (SUMMARY.TVR) that enables you to read the test information
  53.       and what to do next.

  55.       CLOKTEST 2000 Professional includes 2 levels of protection against
  56.       the date change. We believe we are the only company to offer the dual 
  57.       protection which includes a boot-up date check and a terminate and stay
  58.       resident program, that remains active during the time the computer
  59.       is on, checking the date every few milliseconds. Please see the order

  63. 1. Internet Installation

  66.   Pre-Installation:
  67.   -----------------      
  68.       If you have downloaded CLOKTEST 2000 over the Internet you should read
  69.       the following steps :-
  70.  
  71.         i.    Unzip CLOKTEST.ZIP
  72.         ii.   Format a blank disk -> FORMAT A: /s /u
  73.         iii.  Copy all the files from the unzipped CLOKTEST.ZIP file to the
  74.               floppy disk.
  75.         iv.   You now have created a bootable computer clock tester
  76.     v.    See topic 2 for use.

  78.        (If formatted using Windows 95, it may not be possible to use
  79.        CLOKTEST 2000 on 286 and some 386 based computers.)

  82. 2. Floppy Disk Installation
  83. ---------------------------

  85.   i.  If running Windows 95 or Windows 3.1 close down the computer and
  86.       place the disk in drive A: and restart your computer.
  87.   ii. Change to drive A: or B: and type CLOKTEST
  88.  
  89.       CLOKTEST 2000 will now start to test the computer clocks. The computer
  90.       will be restarted automatically to carry out the remaining tests.
  91.       Please follow all on-screen instructions.

  93.   iii.When the tests are completed and you have removed the disk from the
  94.       drive you can re-read the summary report (SUMMARY.TVR). The report
  95.       will give you the tests descriptions and whether your computer passed
  96.       or failed the tests.

  116.       1) the right to use and make additional copies of CLOKTEST 2000 without
  117.       making any changes or additions to the binary code or any other file
  118.       of any permutation by any process.
  119.       2) You may not modify, adapt, translate, disassemble, reverse engineer or
  120.       by any other process to examine, modify, alter the binary code files or
  121.       any other files that are included with CLOKTEST 2000
  122.       2) to distribute CLOKTEST 2000 by any medium including internet without
  123.       charging or charging a cost or being paid for CLOKTEST 2000 in its
  124.       deployment or actual use without express written consent by TANTRA
