This is to keep it compatible with NTSC (60 Hz) Amiga Owners. So just draw your own intro pictures above the green line for 100% compatibility. eg 640*200*16 resoloution, or you can create a 32 colour lowres screen if you really need to. eg 320*200*32 etc.
