TRACK
Developed by Scott Parks
Levware 1991(C)
Track is an all purpose database for your album's, CD's, cassette's
etc. All entries can be quickly inserted, deleted and displayed. An
efficient search feature will find any text you wish to find. You can
also make a hardcopy of your database.
Getting Started:
To start TRACK, simply type TRACK at the DOS prompt and then press
ENTER.
Main Window Commands:
Add Album:
This command displays the record window, where all fields are defined.
There is also a set of commands within this window which will be
covered later.
Delete Album:
Using this command you can delete an existing entry. You are prompted
for the band name and then the title. If a match is found for both
band and title, the album is deleted. If one of the fields has no
definition, press enter for that field.
Find:
The Find command will prompt you for a string. If that string is found,
all records containing that string will be displayed.
List:
List displays the Band and Title of all albums currently in your
database.
Print:
This will make a hardcopy of the current file. The output is to LPT1.
Info:
This gives you some vital information. It tells how much RAM you have
left, size of your current file and the number of entries in your
current file.
F2:
This command saves the current file. If it is a new file you will be
prompted for a filename.
F3:
This opens another file. If you currently have a file opened it will be
saved before the new file is opened. If the file your are currently
working on hasn't been previously saved you will be prompted for a
filename.
ESC:
If a file is opened and has been edited in any way, you will be
prompted whether or not to save. Otherwise it will be closed and
The program will terminate.
Add Album Commands
ESC:
This returns you to the main window, not saving the current record.
F5:
Saves the current record and returns to the main window.
TAB:
Moves you around the different fields in the record.
Now you know all the commands to build your music database. If your
a lover of music, this program will serve you well!
The size of your database depends on the amount of available RAM.
