This READ.ME file contains a description of the files on the
disk. It also includes instructions on how to print out the very
brief manual and install PopDBF on a hard disk.
Files on the disk:
INSTALL.EXE - PopDBF hard disk installation program. To install
PopDBF on your hard disk, put the PopDBF diskette
into a floppy disk drive (i.e. A:) and type:
a:INSTALL [d:\path\]directory
where directory is the hard disk directory where
you want the PopDBF program and other files
copied. If the specified directory does not
exist, it will be created. The INSTALL.EXE
program itself is NOT copied to the hard disk.
ORDER.FRM - Order form for PopDBF. To use this form to
register PopDBF, type the following command at the
DOS prompt:
copy a:order.frm prn
POPAID.DOC - Short documentation file for PopAID, the PopDBF
companion program to create databases.
POPAID.EXE - Companion program for PopDBF, which allows you to
create any dBase .DBF database. Works exactly
like dBase CREATE command.
POPCFG.EXE - The PopDBF configuration program to configure
colors and hotkey.
POPDBF.COM - The PopDBF program. Run POPDBF/H for help with
options.
POPDBF.DOC - This is the PopDBF manual, which can be printed
out by typing the following command at the DOS
prompt:
copy a:popdbf.doc prn
POPDBF.HLP - PopDBF context sensitive help file used by
POPDBF.COM program.
POPDBF.HST - History of PopDBF development, features and bug
fixes. Also previews future features.
READ.ME - This file.
VENDOR.DOC - Contains Bowen Software's distribution policy for
disk vendors.
WHATS.NEW - The segment from POPDBF.HST (the development
history file) that pertains specifically to the
new release.
