  11. NOTE: C: denotes the drive where OS/2 is installed
  12.  
  13. 1.  Start the system and go to the OS/2 desktop.  Open an OS/2
  14.     window or full screen and type:
  15.       C:\OS2\INSTALL
  16.  
  17. 2.  A: If you applied service pack using diskettes, at
  18.        C:\OS2\INSTALL:
  19.  
  20.        1. Type:
  21.  
  22.          RSPDSPI /PK:VGA /SK:NONE /S:A:\ /S:C:
  23.  
  24.        2. Insert display diskette 1 from service pack in drive a:
  25.  
  26.        3. Press Enter and follow the directions on the screen.
  27.  
  28.     B: If you applied service pack using CD-ROM, at
  29.        C:\OS2\INSTALL:
  30.  
  31.        1. Type:
  32.  
  33.           RSPDSPI /PK:VGA /SK:NONE /S:\Y:\SPZ629\ /T:C:
  34.  
  35.                Y: is the CD-ROM drive letter.
  36.                C: is the drive where OS/2 resides
  37.  
  38. 3.  Go to the OS/2 sub-directory, and if SVGADATA.PMI and
  39.     SVGADATA.ERR files exist, delete them.
  40.  
  41. 4.  Perform shutdown and restart the system.
  42.  
  43. 5.  Open an OS/2 session and create a temporary directory on
  44.     the hard disk. Type:
  45.  
  46.        MD TEMP and press Enter.
  47.  
  48. 6.  Insert the system diskette 1 from OS/2 for Windows GA, not
  49.     service pack, and type:
  50.  
  51.        C:UNPACK A:BUNDLE C:\TEMP
  52.  
  53.     NOTE: If you have 5 1/4 diskettes, use system diskette 2.
  54.  
  55. 7. Type:
  56.  
  57.        CD TEMP and press Enter.
  58.  
  59. 8. Type:
  60.  
  61.        COPY PSxxx.DSC C:\OS2\INSTALL\*.* and press Enter.
  62.  
  63.        NOTE: xxx is the name of video chipset.

  66. Doing A Selective Install for SVGAa Using OS/2 for Windows GA.
  67. ----------------------------------------------------------------
  68. 1. Open an OS/2 system icon, open system setup icon, open
  69.    selective install icon.
  70. 2. Select Primary Display and select the OK push button.
  71. 3. Select Super VGA Array (SVGA) and select OK.
  72. 4. Select OK for next screen.
  73. 5. Select Install on the next screen.
  74. 6. Select Source Directory.
  75.        A. If you are using diskettes, select Install and
  76.           follow the instructions on the screen.
  77.        B. If you using CD-ROM, select Change, then select
  78.           OS2SE21 sub-directory, and then select the Install
  79.           push button.
  80.           NOTE: Respond Yes to all questions.
  81.  
  82. 7. Perform a shutdown and restart your system.  You should be in
  83.    in selected hi-res.
  84. 8. Apply service pack again. This only updates some video
  85.    related files.
