- HP LASERJET SWTICH FROM PCL TO POSTSCRIPT

- The following steps switch the HP Laserjet IIID printer mode from
- PCL to Postscript.
-

- 1. Create a subdirectory in the Spool directory called
- SPPAGE.
-
- 2. Copy TOPCL.ASC and TOPS.ASC, the files that deal with mode
- switching, into the SPPAGE subdirectory.

- 3. Create the following two ASCII files:

- PCLSEP.PG should contain:
-
- & 1 & F "C:\SPOOL\SEPPAGE\TOPCL.ASC
-
- PSSEP.PG should contain:
-
- & 1 & F "C:\SPOOL\SEPPAGE\TOPS.ASC

- 4. Create a printer icon for PCL and one for PostScript.

- 5. Open the printer settings for the PostScript Printer.

- 6. Go to the print option.

- 7. In the separator file field insert:
- C:\SPOOL\SEPPAGE\PSSEP.PG.

- C: is the drive where OS/2 resides
- 8. Close the settings.

- 9. Repeat the same procedure for the PCL printer icon, adding
- C:\SPOOL\SEPPAGE\PCLSEP.PG in the separator file field.
