-
- 3. If the CD-ROM is attached to one of the following devices and
- set up properly, the CD-ROM should be recognized during the
- installation.
-
- OS/2 drivers for CD-ROMs connected to SCSI controllers:

- AHA174X.ADD

- OS/2 driver.
- - Ask for the name of the driver to download from the
- vendors' BBS or IBM PCC BBS (919) 517-0001.
- - You can create diskettes from images and install OS/2

- COMM Ports not Available When Using OS/2 for Windows with XR06300
- and Windows for Workgroups 3.11
- -----------------------------------------------------------------
-
- SYMPTOM:
- When running OS/2 For Windows with Windows For Workgroups
- 3.11, WIN311.ZIP should be used. After applying WIN311.ZIP,
- WIN-OS/2 should work except for the communications driver
- where the error message Comm ports not available
- occurs. The COMM.DRV driver in Windows For Workgroups
- 3.11 is different than the COMM.DRV driver in standard
- Windows 3.10. WIN311.ZIP did not address the driver.
-
- RESOLUTION:
- Use the COMM.DRV file from standard Windows 3.10, not
- the COMM.DRV included with Windows For Workgroups 3.11.
-
- PROCEDURE:
- Replace COMM.DRV in Windows For Workgroups \WINDOWS\SYSTEM,
- directory with the COMM.DRV file from standard Windows 3.10.
