- SYMPTOMS:
- During install on a Gateway 2000 486/66 with local bus and
- ATI Graphics Ultra Pro the system gets to the screen displaying
- the colorful OS/2 full screen symbol. The screen then displays
- 5 or 6 horizontal bands of video separated by black bands that
- scroll horizontally across the screen.

- RESOLUTION:
- Run the Setup program for the ATI card and set up the monitor
- as an IBM default.

- PROCEDURES:

- 1. Start the system with DOS/

- 2. Change directories to MACH32
-
- 3. Type: INSTALL and press Enter.

- 4. At the Main Selection screen select SET POWER UP
- CONFIGURATION.

- 5. At the next screen select MONITOR TYPE.
-
- 6. The next screen should have the 1572 Monitor with 72Hz
- refresh rate highlighted, press Enter to select it.

- 7. Select IBM default as the new Monitor.

- 8. After successful installation repeat steps to reselect
- the 1572 Monitor.
