- PROBLEMS WITH BAD DISKETTES, 2.X and WARP

- Please Read Entire Document For Full Explanation of Procedures

- Make a DISKCOPY of the diskette that is bad and try
- to continue the installation.

- If you get the same problem with the diskette, call vendor
- and request a replacement diskette with the point of sale.

- If they do NOT have the replacement diskette, contact the
- LOCAL IBM branch office, listed in local area phone
- book, to request a replacement.

- If you still cannot obtain the replacement diskette call:

- 1-800-494-3044 SERVICEPAK replacements

- The following is a list of errors or reasons for bad diskettes:
-
- SYS02025 & SYS02027
- SYS2025 & SYS2027
- SYS0041 CRC error (cyclic redundancy error or check)
- SYS0045 Bad sectors, Unrecoverable read errors
- System beeps when you insert diskette
- Continually prompts for the diskette to be inserted
- Diskette is corrupted, damaged, erased, doesn't work
- Mismarked diskette
- Unfixable or unrecoverable errors
- System hangs on any diskette
- Drive A: cannot find the sector requested
- No files on diskette
- Could not read the diskette
