  11. Making the Boot Manager Startable:
  12.  
  13. If you installed the Boot Manager partition but the Boot Manager
  14. startup menu does not appear when you start the system, you need
  15. to make the Boot Manager partition startable:
  16.  
  17. 1. Insert the OS/2 Installation Diskette into drive A.
  18.  
  19. 2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart the system.
  20.  
  21. 3. When prompted, remove the Installation Diskette, insert
  22.    Diskette 1 and press Enter.
  23.  
  24. 4. When the Welcome screen appears, remove the diskette from
  25.    drive A.
  26.  
  27. 5. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart the system.

  30. If this does not work:

  33. 1. Delete the existing partition, after backing the partition up.

  35.    a. Press Enter to display the Options menu.
  36.    b. Select Delete Partition and press Enter.

  38. 2. Create the Boot Manager partition and install the Boot
  39.    Manager:

  41.    a. Press Enter to display the Options menu.
  42.    b. Select Install Boot Manager and press Enter.
  43.    c. Select Create a Start of Free Space and press Enter
  44.  
  45.  Boot Manager should now be startable.
