  6.         DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:

  8.         1. OS/2 for Windows requires that the files have the exact
  9.            size as listed below. If any of the files differ, the install
  10.            process won't generate an error and the Program Manager won't
  11.            load. This is a dependency requirement for the Windows system to
  12.            load.
  13.  
  14.         2. Note the .COM files listed, as these are necessary to be
  15.            able to start Windows, or launch WIN-OS/2 full screen.

  17.         SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:
  18.  
  19.         1. Compare Windows system files to the file sizes listed below.
  20.  
  21.         2. WIN.COM and WINOS2.COM should be the same, while
  22.            WINDOS.COM will be larger because it becomes WIN.COM
  23.            when DOS is booted
  24.  
  25.            (i.e. it gets renamed from WINDOS.COM to WIN.COM).
